Where can I learn about SEO from scratch? I know how to design and code and this is just another subject on my list. I just don't know where to start on this one. Any suggestions?

If you search google, you will find few seo articles. It might be a good place to start.

http://www.seomoz.org has a lot of good articles on SEO. Some of them are free, but to access some of them you need to be a premium member. They also have a lot of tools which are very useful for practicing SEO.
