I don't have a problem with your topics in the correct forums, your above post was spam, this isn't the first time.

I dont see one, I see Charllie making a legit recommendation to a site that is not his. Your post was a huge advertisement for a site you own, meaning its not the quality driving you to post, its the fact you have a fiscal gain from another client.

Ad hominem style attack, completely irrelevant.

KewL and Village Idiot have it right.
Never go with a host from TFL.
Nor should you ever go with a small & cheap host.

Most reliable compared to what? Other small startups from users on this forum, maybe, but definitely not overall in the business. You're best off to go with a well established host like MediaTemple, Joyent, etc. simply for the fact that hosting is not one of the things you want to mess around with and quality hosting can make the world of a difference.

Just off the phone with HostDime, the server is undergoing a "restore" and is hosted through surpasshosting.com. Other than that, they weren't able to provide me with much help or even a general timeframe in which it will be back up...

Yep, used them before, they have good uptime and speed but very bad support from my experience. They've ignored me emailing them several times and when I sent them an IM on aim when they were online I was still not receiving any replies.
On Topic:
Thanks for the info treo, hostedfx is usually a good host but recently the downtimes have made me think otherwise.

This is why you want a host with their own datacenter, they don't have to play telephone down the chain to get an issue fixed.

Tbh, Its so true about the little hosting companies started up by users on this forum.
They never intend on doing it for the actual customer. Its just about making a bit of money 'on the way' and 9/10 they always plan out on getting customers, good income and great stats so that they can just then sell on..
None of them actual want to make the company work or have big time prospects for them, they just want to develop them and sell it on for a bit of dough.

I disagree. Gareth wasn't just in it for the money and from what i've heard hostedfx's hosting has been great. Even your "large" hosting companies have downtime sometime in their history.
As for Nixism...i'm not sure.
