NikonFX.com
Can someone tell me what I can and can not do with a domain that has a registered trademark in it. I have NikonFX and will probably just use it for a portfolio... but what can I and can't I do with it... legally... without pissin' off Nikon.

Email Nikon and see if they have a problem with it and if they do, ask them if there is anyway you can you use the domain while still keeping it.

As long as you don't abuse it; ie, redirect it to canon.com; I can't see there being a problem.
I suggest writing a few reviews of Nikon products, put some affiliate links on there, then SEO it like hell.

Thats what I was thinking... I shoot Nikon so pimpin' their gear via affliate links is deffinitly doable...
But do they even have rights to the name NikonFX by operating as Nikon?

IE/IE7 isn't a trademark of Microsoft. Just an acronym for Internet Explorer.

Yeah, it's not as if anyone would go to those sites if they're looking for IE anyway. It's not as if people type in FF.com to get FireFox...
