Old  Easy way to build links

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I've found that a good way to build links is just to make blogs on the many blog sites that are around, like blogger. Then, you just update them periodically so they can maybe get a PR and also maybe attract visitors (so it's also advertising).

I'm doing it, I don't think it's a good technique for big sites because you can't build many links this way, well, if you work slow, but for new sites I think it's a good technique.

By the way, does anybody know any other easy ways to build links? Please send your valuable comments in this thread.

A few other ways to build links to your site

Post in numerous forums with a link to your site in your signature. Search engines will pick up on these links and count them towards your inbound link count.

Write and submit them to article directories. This will help you to increase your number of inbound links also drive targeted visitors to your website.

Send out press releases. Sending out press releases increases inbound links and may also lead to articles or others types of publicity if the media is interested in your story.

i do use linkmarket, it is free and you can chose the websites that are higher in pr and ask for exchange , it dont take alot of time to do it because it is automatic, i used it for my old website and it worked great , if you really need a higher pr you will need to be selective and digging for big pr websites, but be careful where your link will go to because sometimes you may end up in a new page pr0 of a pr6 or 7 website

The search engines love blogs these days. If you can actually regularly populate the blogs with unique, meaningful content it could provide high value links to your site. But in this case, there's a thin line between good content and search engine spam.

In addition to links, blogs can also help you establish yourself as an expert in a topic and potentially help you bring in some leads. This is all assuming your blog actually has content of some value that'll draw visitors.

From what I've seen the search engines are getting smarter about the random backlinking people have been doing. If you can setup a lot of "legitimate" back links you'll probably be all set.

Yup, directory submission is good but have to be careful not to fall into linkfarms.
