It is to stop people having big sigs and taking up the posts and filling up the webpages. The webpages load faster ect, i think the sig rules are good.

It could be to do with actually being able to continue a conversation without being interrupted by a signature that's 10x bigger than the actual post. And if you think I'm kidding, I'm not. I was once on a forum where some people's sigs were several paragraphs long and contained dozens of animated gifs and stuff. They eventually had to put signatures inside a div with "overflow: scroll" on them so they would stay small.

Yeah, ive seen bad sigs on a forum before but not that bad as your explaining.

It's simply the rules....we don't want large images or advertising banners used in sigs. Hence why the size isn't the default 468 x 60.

Pathetic attempt to get people buying advertising on TF.
May include a image with a maximum size of 450 x 60.
May contain a maximum of two smilies. Or one animated smiley.
May include two clickable links.
May include two colors.

If I resize my banner can I put it back in my signature? The fules only state forums and I don't own any forums.

I agree, none of this annoying banners that's flashing something. I was surprised to see they're allowed. Text is good enough. I find banners in sigs annoying cuz u see it over and over and over. Geese, i hate that.
