  Old  phpBB template help

Im having a go at editing a template for our new site, Guildserve, but am still stuck on a few things.

Would anyone be able to run me through how to do the following:

1) How can I permanently change the width of the site? I would like it to be variable width, say around 95%

2) How would I add boxes down either sides of the main area of the template? I would like to have an area there for sponsor links, ads, etc.

3) How can I change the main menu to something similar to Talkfreelance? I can make the images for it, and I can see in the templates the bit relating to the main menu, but Im not sure how to edit it for an image based menu.

Thats all I can think of for now. I may have some more questions

1) Open the /<template>/overall_header.tpl file and around line 227 change:

HTML Code:
<table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="10" border="0" align="center">
so that the "100%" is whatever width you want.

2) Im not too sure about that, haven't tried it before.

3) You're gonna have to edit the overall_header.tpl file again and add whatever you want, above the:

HTML Code:
<table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="10" border="0" align="center">
But you have to remember to close any open tags you used in the overall_footer.tpl file.
