Is there a mod out for 3.5.3 that does this? Also, question for Robinson; how is upgrading the forum with the mod installed? Is it a pain? I am also considering the VB search engine sitemap, what do you guys think of that? Is it worth it? Here is the link to it: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showt...ht=mod+rewrite

I am kind of warry of installing these mods, #1: because I upgrade frequently and do not want the process to take hours. #2: a good amount of sites link to my forum and various topics, I do not want to loose those links.

Can anyone give some comments or insight, Please!

With vBulletin 3.5 with most hacks you don't have to edit any files, you can simply upload the plugin in your AdminCP. With the hack you linked there are no file edits needed for any of the vBulletin files, which makes upgrading so very easy.
And like I said before, you won't lose the links; showthread.php?t=203939 is the real link and thread02939.html is the fake link
