I need a graphics card
Okay so i finally got nearly all of my new computer:
AMD athalon 64 3700+
200gb SATA harddrive
2x 512mb kingston ram 400ddr
Asus AN8 duluxe motherboard (SLI, pci express 16x, dual ram slot for ddr400)
A good case with 450watt PSU
Now i basically need a graphics card, im not bothered about the sound card at the moment. My budget is £140. Im obviously not going to be able to utilise the SLI feature as it would be to expensive. So im probably going to go for an ATI card. Im not sure which one, id like to get an x800xt or an x850xt i think. Any suggestions on a card or where to get it from ?

I just bought my X800XT 256MB yesterday for $300. It's a great card which runs almost all of the latest games on very high. Good buy.

For an ATI card i say x800xt pretty cheap in some places but you can get a lot of graphic power out of them

Buy a nVidia 7xxx series. It did significantly better in all the benchmarks, and games then the x1xxx series which is their latest card.

That is a good card for its price. You can overclock it to a Nvidia 7800GTX just on stock cooling.

NVidia is much better than ATI in my opinion, their drivers are much more stable and adaptive to the latest games.
I have an older card, the Extreme Edition 6600GT Geforce6, however it plays every one of the latest games on its highest setting without any problems at all!
