  Old  Tip to Using MySpace+CJ

I was speaking with some others about using MySpace to promote products and stuff through your affiliate marketing and I came up with this idea.

Using MySpace could be effective, but MySpace doesn't allow "affiliate links." How do I respond? Like this...

I still consider MySpace a source of affiliate marketing, how do I do this? Well, the approach is quite simple... following these 4 easy steps will help you.

1. Create a HTML or a placement page that will forward to your affiliate link.

2. Upload the HTML file to your hosting server.

3. Post the link on your MySpace.

4. Add a mass amount of friends to your MySpace if you haven't done so already.

Now here is the thing: MySpace says NO AFFILIATE LINKS. How is this fixing the problem? MySpace doesn't say no posting of pages that FORWARD TO AFFILIATE LINKS. Therefore, sending the person to a website on your server that will then forward to your affiliate link will work effectively.

Here is the website code I use to forward to my affiliate links, feel free to use it if you'd like. BTW... its only a small 2KB file so it won't use up your resources much. Getting even a small hosting account should be sufficient enough to add maybe 100-125 of these "placement pages."

Code:
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="4;url={{AFFILIATE LINK HERE}}">
<title>Please Wait... Your Being Sent to {{AFFILIATE TITLE HERE}}</title>
<style type="text/css">
body
	{
	margin: 0px;
	width: 100%;
	height: 100%;
	background-color: #333333;
	}
.GeneralFont
	{
	font-size: 11px;
	font-family: Verdana, Arial, Times New Roman, Sans-Seriff;
	color: #FFFFFF;
	font-weight: Bold;
	text-align: Center;
	}
#table_head
	{
	font-size: 26px;
	font-family: Verdana, Arial, Times New Roman, Sans-Seriff;
	color: #FFFFFF;
	font-weight: Bold;
	background-color: #888888;
	background-position: fixed;
	}
#table
	{
	border: 2px solid #000000;
	width: 95%;
	height: 65px;
	margin: 25px auto;
	background-color: #888888;
	}
</style>
</head>

<body>
<div id="table_head">Your About to be Sent to {{AFFILIATE TITLE HERE}}</div>
<div id="table">
<font class="GeneralFont"><center>P L E A S E    W A I T<br><br>Your being transferred to <u>{{AFFILIATE TITLE HERE}}</u>...</center></font>
</div>
</body>
</html>
Where it says {{AFFILIATE TITLE HERE}} -- change that to the advertiser the page is forwarding to.

Where it says {{AFFILIATE LINK HERE}} -- place your affiliate link in this space.

It will forward to the site in 4 seconds, you can change how long to wait before forwarding to the page where it says:

Code:
content="4;url
Change the "4" to the seconds to wait before forwarding.

Good luck... and some rep could be useful (if TF offers it, I don't get on much to know if they do.)

Since your affiliate links won't be on your MySpace page technically, you won't need to worry about adding MySpace as a website account on your CJ. BUT... if your website domain for your "placement pages" is different then any other accounts you have on file with CJ... then you'll need to add the web domain that your "placement pages" are on.

For example: Your CJ account has test1.com, test3958.com and test039.com - but the links on your MySpace page forward to test9485.com - you'll need to add the test9485.com to your CJ account. If its already on your CJ account, then no need to add it.
