Old  How to fix squeezed images?

I just recently started blogging on Blogger and the template I'm using is messing up the pictures I'm posting. It's squeezing the images.

Anyone know how to fix this? Is there a way to change the code to make it look normal?

Notice on my homepage how the images are squeezed.

Thanks

I see the images as squeezed. I think the easiest solution is that the picture are the size of 260*195px or any other dimensions proportional to 260*195px.

Or you could change the source code, but then not all images would have the same height or width. (Either remove the height or the width attribute from the image.)

This could work ONLY if the images have the same dimensions. I'm not a blogger expert, but I don't think blogger can automatically resize and/or crop images, like the TimThumb plugin does for WordPress.

I see all the images okay except the last one (the one with the hands and the memory stick or whatever).

In my opinion, you should resize all the post images to the same size or you should move to WordPress.. (i think the blogger platform sucks )

I didn't realize this was from blogspot. I thought it was wordpress installation on a shared host. I have no idea if it's possible then.

They're all distorted, but you may not notice it if you don't load them separately. Switching to WordPress is definitely a good idea. And if you're willing to spend a few bucks, get your own domain with a shared host.

Also, be sure to use all horizontal images. The problem with some of those images is that you're trying to fit a vertical image into a horizontal box.

Thanks for the feedback. I have never used Wordpress, but if you guys say it's better then I'll switch and give it a try. Also, someone else told me that blogger has tons of errors when scanned by website checkers.

Quick question: When I switch to Wordpress is there a way to have the my current blog on Blogger redirect my visitors to my new blog on Wordpress? How would I do this?

Hello, I personally do not use blogger, so you will have to do some research. Maybe somebody here knows the answer. I'm not sure this can be done. That's the downside of using free services.

If you're somewhat serious about blogging, I highly recommend that you purchase a domain. wordpress.com allows you to use your own domain for 12$ a year (plus domain fees). That way you won't have any problems with migrating in the future since your domain stays the same.

If your blog gets popular then consider hosting your blog yourself. This should allow much more room for customization.

And as far as I know it is possible to import your blogger posts to wordpress. You shouldn't have a problem there.
