IPB or vB?!
Well, I'm soon going to upgrade my site when the new skin is done and I was wondering what I should get, right now I'm using IPB 1.3 and I'd like to upgrade.
I personally like IPB 2.x but the other owner wants vB 3.x
But since I want to upgrade I want to know if I can upgrade my IPB 1.3 to vB 3.x, I checked their site but couldn't find any info
so.. IPB or vB?!

Ye.. I haven't seen many people use IPB 2.x yet, can anyone tell me what vB has that IPB doesn't?

I'm not sure what vb has that ipb doesn't, both are solid products. I used ipb for a few years (when it was free) and it was awesome. The reason i switched to vb was because tf was running the software and it was easier. However, now i've made the switch i wouldn't go back (mainly because of the amount of decent skinners for vb as opposed to ipb).
Also, i trust vb more than ipb. Matt (owner of ipb) has lied too many times in the past and their support have never been of any help to me! vb is like the paypal of processors, it's the most widely used and has the biggest range of hacks, skins and support available. Just my 2 cents.

Invision aer a weird company, they change their pricing like my underpants.
I personally don't see anything good about IPB - I mean it's very rigid. I've never seen an IPB before that doesn't LOOK like an IPB.. if you know what I mean. It's possible with vB, but I've yet to see it with this.

Yup.
I;ve been looking for a free forum for my small site, but I just can't get one. I've tried Wbblite, Phpbb, and they use similar template system.
God, have you seen Wbbs coding? They even spelled things wrong in the code! e.g. widht instead of width.

i can skin an ipb just as well as i can skin a vb.. but ipb has the worst organization every for templates and i wouldn't do it unless it was a high paying job. there are just as many people capable, but no one wants to do it.
vb has better support, plain and simple.
