dual screening and having a mac and pc?
I don't understand why you have two computers? Or is that just dual screen? If so, why do people use that?
Thanks.
Regards,
Taiyab.

Why would you want to do that though? Any particular advantage?

Lol. I'd say for the the simple fact two is better than one But ofc thats just stupid. Think how easy it would be to multi-task. Email detailed design specs on one screen photoshop open on the other.
Notepad open on one screen. Browser open on other.
Messenger windows on one screen. Essay on the other.
I expect just so he doesn't have to switch between windows often. Also some people do have mac on one and windows on other.
Windows for gaming. Mac for design work.

I think that's just plain silly - you can't multi-task like that and expect to do a good job of it at all. If it's for cross browser compatibility checking then fair enough, but otherwise, it's silly.

I use Dual screens on a daily basis, couldn't work without. You'll find many other designers and accountants or anyone in any field are starting to use dual screens a lot more. I know of a few schools and colleges where its just dual screening. It just makes more room to work, for a video editing environment I can see the actual raw footage on one monitor, edit on another monitor, or see the edited version on one monitor and my timeline on the other. Just makes it a whole lot easier and gives you more room.
I have a PC and 3 Macs. Not that I use them all at the same time but I've found at times where I can be running back and forth between computers to use them for all different purposes. Anyways, this conversation is off-topic to what the thread was made for.

I used to run 2 screens (2x17") until I got my 22" monitor.
Couldn't fit another on the desk so I went back to 1.
2 has its advantages for a designer, opening a brief / file on one side and the PSD / Photoshop on the other. But you can still nearly do that with a wide-screen anyway.

Um, how about having the brief up on Word and just Alt+Tabbing to Photoshop?
