School Threats
Oh here we go again,
Over the past two weeks, a school in my state has gotten about 8 or so threats (targeted for tomorrow), over the past two weeks or so. Now, after Virginia Tech, that school is taking it seriously and now found a suspicious package in the school (I think it was just a school project).
Anyway, today at our school, we had a bomb and shooting threat, for tomorrow. We had 4 cop cars and a swat truck at our school today. People were taken out of their classes by their parents, and aren't showing up tomorrow. I'm going because it's probably just an attention craved idiot who wants to stir up a buzz.
Anyway, just thought it was interesting, and know you guys might know if I never show up again.. just kidding.
Also, for those that don't know, tomorrow is "420", Hitler's Birthday, and the Columbine anniversary. It's also senior ditch day which makes me think its just hot air.

The only action I got today was a Tornado test.

If I don't go, then I get a zero on a writing assignment, and then I also get on my criminology teachers "drug-using idiot" list.

Probably not worth going in, you always tend to find that after one shooting, it "inspires" a few other nut cases and there will most likely be some more shootings in the near future (sadly).

I can't afford to get a zero on that assignment though. I at least need to turn it in to not fail the class (it's worth quite a lot of points). And there is most likely a 99% chance nothing will happen, and I would rather take the risk and pass.

I would go to class. There are always bomb threats but it is very rare that something actually happens. Probably just someone looking to stir up a little buzz. However, I would skip just because it is 420

To be honest, the School should be shut down tomorrow. A bomb threat isn't something you can ignore, it's a big deal.
I know you don't want to fail your writing test tomorrow, but I would rather live, than pass the test. Your teachers SHOULD understand pupils not wanting to attend school tomorrow. They are risking their life.
If the school doesn't close tomorrow, it's putting teachers and pupils life's in danger.

Sit in the corner opposite the door is the only thing I can suggest.

Well, kids are going to be screened by teachers randomly, and cars/lockers will be searched tomorrow. Police will be on school campus, etc, for updated security.
