You can enter the
http://, tld, etc but it will parse it out so it doesn't make a difference. I thought rather than specifying, I would let the user do whatever they want and handle it after that. Do you think that's not the best way to go?
As far as the button... I was going for simplicity and have noticed that the enter key for submission is becoming a well understood standard, especially with 'web 2.0' sites (and sites geared towards designers). I was worried about that being an issue, hence the motto being "Type,
hit, go" and the big instructions above the bar. If a bunch of people find this to be an issue though, I'll start thinking of some other alternatives.
I am unaware of any other domain checker that lets you just rattle off 2, 3, 4 or more possibilities at once and returns results as you add more. (Which is part of why hitting enter is the focus, moving a mouse to click submit is too slow!

). I like being able to see all of the possibilities listed for me as I go, so I've found it useful the past few days. Have you seen any other domain checkers that allow this?
