Whois.sc had changed to Domaintools.com it is just like the old but with a load of more features and new design. Here some news i got off domainjunkies about it:
whois.sc becomes domaintools
The reasoning behind the name change seems pretty simple. While whois.sc was short and easy to type, the domaintools.com name helps show that the new site has a whole host of great domain tools.
The new site offers the same great whois.sc services (reverse ip tool, whois history, ip address lookups, etc) plus a nice array of related webmaster/domainer tools like support for more TLD extension whois lookups, pings, tracert, and a neat new feature called Nameserverspy. Name Server Spy allows to you see which nameservers (webhosts/domain parking services) are gaining and losing domains and at what rate. A neat way to keep a pulse on who’s up and coming in the industry.
In a very smart business move, NameIntelligence will be keeping the easy to use whois.sc domain name and service offering for folks like me who have become accustomed to typing whois.sc/example.com just as fast as I type example.com
