  Old  University catalogue cover

This type of design is very new for me so I'd really like some feedback. The school logo here is supposed to look like 3-D paper mache (sp?).

I think it is pretty good, overall. The logo seems sort of difficult to comprehend, I think. You shouldn't really have to explain what it is to me! I'm not really a fan of the text. The font is good, it's just the effect on it. Seems misplaced.. like a stone-ish look, while the logo is different than that.

Hmm.. keep it simple. The bevel / shadow you have on the text isn't needed. Leave it black and white and it will be more readable. I'm not sure what to think about the logo, I looked at the original logo from Google and at first, I didn't even notice the helmet in your image.

I'd suggest going for a much cleaner look. Go back to its simplest form and work it up from there. It seems like you just kinda jumped in at the deep end if you get what I mean?

Thanks for the input. I'm still getting a handle on all the settings in the 3-d generator software I used to make this logo because they vary depending on what type of input is used and are very complex to begin with.

I changed the text and left just a little bevel and cleaned up one section of the logo.
