  Old  Torrent Seeding Help

Alright, so heres the situation: I use a lot of those private trackers where there all anal about seeding and your ratio. The problem is I like to move the files to my music folder and neatly organize them in different folders. How can I continue to seed with files moved from my downloads folder. I'm using Transmission. Thanks.

I don't know if there's a quicker way but set the download folder to the new directory, then re-download the trackers and it should check them I believe. Only problem you have to back and download them one at a time. I'm sure theres a quicker way of doing this ;p

Seeding is something worth being anal about, it is the only way distributed bandwidth systems can work. Don't move them, copy them and delete the files after they have been seeded to 1.0 or whatever you seed to.

Alternatively you could buy the music.

Yes, both of your methods do work, but i figured out a better way to do it for the way i organize my music.

So you right click the seeding torrent and theres a "Move data file to..." option. I should have noticed this earlier.

Thanks Russ, the only thing stopping me from doing it that way is because the way i organize my music. The torrent data just comes in a folder named after the album. I like to organize my music like: music>artist>album>songs.

VG thanks for the suggestion, but that'd just be a huge waste of space. I download a lot of lossless music and i only have a 150gig hard drive

Jordan I don't see how Russ completely disregarded community rules either. What do you use to download stuff out of curiosity?
