LiquidSmoke.net - New Portfolio Design

It's been almost 2 years since I've had a new design on my portfolio, http://www.liquidsmoke.net/, and I'm gonna get a new design now, getting bored of the old one lol.

So lemme know what you think of this, there's 2 versions, both same, just diff background. I didn't wanna put too much content, just want some straightforward to show off the designs and stuff.

Let me know if you have any suggestions to make it better. Also let me know which of the two versions you think is better and if you think it's better than the current design I have on http://www.liquidsmoke.net/, thanks.

I think they're both better than the current design you have, but I'm leaning towards the second (wood) design rather than the first. A smaller or different font for the mene might help also.

I like the wood one, but the red bar for the name is a bit distracting.. I think if you made it plain black and make it stretch all the way across, it would look much better

thanks. for the wood one im thinking of changing the red to a green or orange maybe. and i would stretch it across, but i dont wanna cover that much on the designs preview, so i kept it as a small box.

if you lessen the height of the box, and shrink the text, make it black, and lower opacity it would be dead on.

I love the header on the first one, however overall I'm leaning towards the wood one. Will the wooden background be repeated or just a solid brown background?

i dunno if i'll make it black cuz i want to stand out a bit, but alright i'll see how it is when its smaller.

and yeah i do like the header gradient on the first one so thats why im having a tough time deciding which one to use. and yes the wood texture will repeat.

i prefer the blue one - wood is beginning to get overused.

I think they both work, but the first option seems to fit your work better.
