WiiRoom - a bit of help please?
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to read this thread. I hope that you can help me with what I need to know, and hope I can gain experience from your websites and views.
I run and own WiiRoom.net I am 15 and live in the UK. Unfortunately WiiRoom hasn't really 'taken off' in the last three months since its been up. I have tried numerous forms of advertising, increasing the visual experience for my users and posting new and exciting content, but nothing seems to be happening. I have put a lot of time into this and my only goal is a successful and happy community centered around my site. So why does this bother you I hear you ask?
Well I probably should have done this before, but please can you give me tips on increasing my post counts and members database? any help at all will be greatly appreciated by myself and hopefully the future forum.
Many Kind Regards,
Alex

I think you're relying on the forum to actually do something magic on its own. Write some reviews for games, tutorials how to do stuff with your Wii, get it dugg a few times and get those posted places with linkbacks.
The more effort you put into it is going to bring the members not some francy skin.
Best of luck with it though

Are you going to write reviews? It's all good saying thanks for the input but you actually got to get moving with it, and this applies to anybody not just you mate, so dont feel im coming too strong on your personally.
Websites like these wont work if time isn't put in, and posting on a forum isn't going to bring attraction. Reviews, competitions and previews (all relating to the subject) will bring attraction.
Best of luck! I'll be waiting...

Fix it in IE, then worry about populating it.

Competitions and stuff to entertain your guests will help, the forum cant build itself...

One good way of building members would be to create a 'wii availability' thread - lots of people (in the UK especially) are still finding it difficult to find one in stock.
Keep an eye on all the retailers and update the thread each day. Look for other forums where people on the lookout may hangout, and post a link to your thread. They'll keep checking it out each day until they get one, then hopefully they'll stick with you thereafter.
