"Web 2.0" abuse
What percentage of designers do you think actually understand what web 2.0 means? If it's based on the number of sales threads claiming web 2.0, I'd say 5%.
Somehow people seem to think that by adding "web 2.0" to the thread title they are going to double their price for a design that is quite frankly not even web 1.0.
Just a small rant - I'm sick of trawling design and website threads that claim to be web 2.0 when they are clearly anything but.

I also agree, there is a sale thread here on TFL, which I refrained from posting on (as it was a sales thread) which advertised a web 2.0 design, and it was the complete opposite, and the person even showed an example of what he thought was web 2.0, and in my opinion it didn't look web 2.0 at all.
People seem to think calling their design web 2.0 will increase interest, but I think there are none-web 2.0 designs that can look great, it all depends on what the design is used for, IE: web host, clan websites etc.
People should stop calling their designs web 2.0 for the sake of it.

It so annoying.
As annoying as someone going up to your dog and saying "theres a good boy", when its a girl.

I always advertise as web3.0
You make even more money that way. If people start saying 3.0 I will say 4.0
Really though web2.0 is nothing to do with appearance. There is a certain style that tends to be used with it though, based on the latest thinking in design usability or, if your really honest...fashion.

I just wish people would attempt to create a style of there own. Why can't something ever just be a design. Calling your design "web 2.0" is on of the most anoying things.

Exactly the same here. It offers a parody towards the web2.0 losers.

I never call any of my designs web 2.0 ... This because i think the term is kinda whored, people calling almost everything web 2.0 now.
But also because i myself dont really understand what web 2.0 exactly is...
