Just basically says what I've been saying about it recently. Especially today.. people kinda got pissed at me when they overheard me saying that myspace sucks and if it wasn't so popular, it would be next to worthless.

"eUniverse went as far as telling 3 million users of their paid dating website, CupidJunction.com, to sign up for free MySpace accounts. (CupidJunction message screenshot)"
Whats wrong with that? Companies usually want their customers to know about their other services they have to offer.
MySpace.com is Spam 2.0
Who doesn't know that? I don't even goto the site and I know that.
MySpace was a direct assault on Friendster.com
So..? Friendster was the big thing at the time. I'm sure this time around people will be saying that Wallop (the new social networking site from Microsoft) is a direct attack on MySpace

very interesting read, do you think the mass spamming of myspace will continue forever?
With all these adder robots and train whores etc..
Ive seen tons of ads for affiliate marketers looking to buy stolen myspace accounts with thousands of friends or ppl selling bulletin space on their profile..
Surely News Corp will clamp down somehow?

They are slowly clamping down. I have heard "stories" about people recieving letters from MySpace's' legal team.
They now ban URL's from bulletins. They also ban whole bulletins.
There are many work arounds that, usually you have to pay to find out how. The whole bulletins are worked around by adding a random function, so %random:5% would produce 42d5a for example. This would change on each bulletin/message so it would never get blocked.
However, yes, they are already trying to stop it - just not succeeding at the moment.
