What ever happened to codedpreview?
Does anyone know what happened to it?? It's not online anymore
Would anyone be interested in bringing something like that back? Was it useful to designers?

Would you care to explain in a few words what codedpreview exactly did? Is it just an upload site for templates?

It was a service a lot of designers used to upload a design and show what it would look like when coded. I believe it does the background and such for you so users are not left with a bunch of whitespace around the image.
codedpreview.com appears to have been scooped up by domain farmers. Guess they werent making money and failed. Thats what happens to just about every image hosting site, it just isn't profitable if done well.

Precisely, I do have an idea to put a spin on it and I'm thinking about re-creating such a service.. I plan on revamping it and making it a little bit more "useful" for the designer(seller)..
Also, the domain is still registered to Seb.. I don't know whats up with the ad page though =\

Thanks for the explanation VG!
To answer the OP's questions, I think it's a great idea! Maybe you can buy that domain from the owner.
Do you plan to make this a profitable business?

I have some pretty major plans for it.. I've already sent a PM to the owner.. so who knows.. If he doesnt want to do business, I'll make my own and brand it myself :P
And yes, making a profit would be nice
