web2.0foru.ms skin
Okay so here it is so far i know not much
updating will post update soon
So basically the idea is to make a very web 2.0ey skin. So genericness is not the issue, or in a sense we want to make it generic.
So that means some glossy stuff, graidents, reflects, large fonts, highlights, rollovers, curves, font weight variation. All that but not too tacky.
Ive still got a lot to do like the side menu's and the main top menu and also vamp the logo part. The main thing im looking for here is idea's, on things like how to layout various things and put various things and any other general concepts or features.

Over the top with the simplicity.
Everything seems to be floating about at the minute and there's no definitive structure. Solve this and it's definitley web2.0 material

Looks way to loose and empty at the moment. Even though it is in the style of web 2.0, it looks very trendwhored and not very original / inviting.

feels more like an element of a website than a skin itself.

Needs more icons You can definately do better, now it looks like some newbie made it. Colorscheme is off in my opinion, the stroke on the forum headers is wrong... Definately needs reconsidering and most definately not inviting to join in a conversation.
As for ideas. Maybe have it so people can rearrange the entire site with drag n drop... Haven't seen this on a forum yet.

For inspiration, I'd say definitely go to Freewebs Farms. Not necessarily the forums part, but the Mooglets project, for example. Also, definitely find a way to include tag clouds.
