New design for a client...
Hey guys,
Looking for some input on the following design I have made for a client. You can find the template at the following link: http://www.codedpreview.com/?view=1157
I'm looking for all sorts of critique so please let me know what you think.
Thanks
Note: The menu tabs at the top near the header will result in a drop down menu (the silverish bar below tabs, hovering over an item on that bar will bring down the green bar as well)

It's really shiny, which is no longer the style. I think you should tone down the shinyness.

I think that looks really great Liam, all fits in and looks great, my only real thing i don't like is the boldness on the Client / submit etc buttons, either change font type or have it not so bold, top work!
Edit: I actually rather 1156 which has the blue!

Your Design is very nice. But I feel the text on the green bar a little difficult to read and the same with the text on the Buttons Employee, Search... But still they go well with the Design..

Hi Mike,
Visually its a nice design but functionally its lacking. People like simplicity and the page is to cluttered with content. Your menu system is confusing and has the feeling of multiple navigations almost stuffed together at the top.
If it were my design I would not have the dual banner look where the companies main message is under the header like that. I would take that section out and work it into the content in a prominent way but the secondary banner seems to serve no purpose with consulting companies its better to have multiple entry points leading further into the site and driven at the main conversion purposes of the site ex. calling their phone or emailing them.
I also think the content would work better as a 2 column design its proven that less columns is preferred and converts better then more columns.
My 2 cents

The title and corresponding graphic is elegant; however, the rest of the page overpowers the company name. Maybe tone down the greens and blues so the company name stands out. Also the green nav area makes your eyes strain.
I think there is just to much information on the home page. If you go with a two column information design as stated by Dave.H, you might be able to bring your secondary nav and content area up and make the page non-scrolling. When you scroll down to use the lower portion of the website, you can no longer see the company name. Perhaps just using a frame would solve this.
If you give to much information on the home page, visiters will be less likely to explore.

Looks good. The nav bar fits in well. The colours used are shiny and fit in well with each other.
