  Old  Paypal Fraud

Just got an email which is suppost to be from paypal, I know it's fake however:

We recently have determined that different computers have logged in to your PayPal account, and multiple password failures were present before the login. One of our Customer Service employees has already tryed to telephonically reach you. As our employee did not manage to reach you, this email has been sent to your notice.
Therefore your account has been temporary suspended. We need you to confirm your identity in order to regain full privileges of your account.
If this is not completed by June 8, 2005, we reserve the right to terminate all privileges of your account indefinitly, as it may have been used for fraudulent purposes. We thank you for your cooperation in this manner.
To confirm your identity please follow the link below:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_login-run

Thank you for your patience in this matter.

PayPal - Customer Service

Please do not reply to this e-mail as this is only a notification. Mail sent to this address cannot be answered.
For a start it didn't have a sent to address, and it didn't say Dear Gethin, as PayPal always puts the members name in an email, also look at the domain they wanted me to click... well click it then you'll see the proper domain it goes to which is: http://paypal.com.login-user6789.inf....php?cmd=LogIn

Clever, but I'm not that stupid

The best tip is to ALWAYS open a new browser and type the paypal url... If you do need to change anything related to your paypal account you will notified when you login before asked to continue to your account.

I generally just right click the link to see the real address, but 90% of the time you can be sure it's a scam

I'm sure it said someone else posted that... hehe thanks for moving it I wasn't sure which forum it went in

I remember when I actually fell for one of these before, but that was on eBay and I was about 12... I've grown up now and am much wiser

You were using ebay when you were 12? How does that work if you cannot even have a solo card when you are 12?
