shoutbox

does anyone else want a shoutbox ? maybe that doesnt sit at the front but can just be gone into via the menu , as i think it would be cool to sit there chatting to people

This has been raised before, from my viewpoint shoutboxes don't work on forums (if anything they detract from the purpose of a forum) people start chatting in the shoutbox and less posts are being made on the boards. You just have to look at the horrid state of yaxays shoutbox to see what i'm talking about, when it does get used, it's often abused with spam

I hate them, full of spam and rubbish.. Why would you want to be the same as other forums.

Visit yaxay if you want to be in a forum that has a shoutbox. Talkfreelance consists of professional freelancers that do not need to be wasting their time trying to get the highest post count in the shoutbox. I beleive that if Talkfreelance did have a shoutbox it may attract the type of people that do not have anything better to do with their time then spam a shoutbox and completely change the direction the forum is going in - for worse.

Shoutboxes on any website are tacky and usless imo.
