Old  I just cant do it :(

Ok the last few days ive had some ideas, but nothing really comes out great. I have no inspiration, and I just seem to have a designers block. If there even in such a thing. Well I sat down tonight, it seemed to be going ok, this is what I got so far. I just dont like it that much, wanted to see what others think. Please be honest too

I like the colours, but it just seems too plain and bland. The text sizes are way too big, the copyright should be small (Like a size 10 or something). I like the buttons, but i think you need to use smaller fonts as this will make it look more professional.

It's better than your last design, just need some more creativity...what about using a stock photo? Check out www.corbis.com or www.gettyimages.com, perhaps use a image of someone to help bring the design to life.

Take a timeout, look around at other websites/templates and get ideas, follow a standard layout and work in different elements here and there. I think the first thing you need to do is establish a brand identity, in this design you are using a standard font for your logo and that isn't good.

Keep it up hex, i know you're a decent designer but you're just abit rusty!

it's a step up from the last one, but your proportions are off. it's like something out of jumbo land from mario 3.

whenever i get designers' block, i just pick up my guitar and rip it for a bit or go play some video games. eventually it passes. i'll visualze something from a song, or get an idea from the game.

also i would say its FAR too narrow. . . . when creating a design you should always try to make the most of the space you have

EDIT:

that doesn't go to say slim designs can't look good btw but it takes something special

Thanks for your comments. I guess im going to take a week, and just look around at websites. My last design like 5 months ago was so awsome, I just seem to be what Robson says "rusty". On the design for PricelessPixels, I really want it narrow. Cause to be honest I dont have much content for it. I think I also need to find a few small jobs not paying much, do them knowing what I gotta do. That way I can build some things for the portfolio as well as not have to think so much of what I need to make, because they will tell me what they want.

I almost thought I was going through a depression lol. I almost considerd to stop going to college for this, cause im like wtf?!? I cant just suck all of a sudden. But its starting to come back, I think I took to much time away from it.

Your backround is either one beveled, or one is jsut a layer to high. On the left you can see almost some beveled effects as opposed to the right side. Im not sure if anyone said that. I didn't read their posts. Keep designing and you will get out of the block. Happens to me so much.
