  Old  Turned out great

Took the photo, added some text to it and here it is.

The photo was taken with long exposure and I moved the camera in order to make the light make a trail.

Big image
Banner image I was thinking of using as a banner for my site

What do you think?

Everyone and their little dog can take a long exposure shot.. And personally I hate them to pieces. So that aspect is bad.

The text just doesn't look right, it's like a pixel font... but it's huge!

I don't like the outerglow either...

I just don't want to click it. ;(

Alright, thanks for that review... Personally, well, I think it turned out great. Perhaps all can take long-exposure shots... Not all do though.

I don't have a dog.

It is a pixel font...

I have a dog! Hes so cuuuuutteee...

Anyways, yeah long-exposure shots.. idk I dont care for them at all.. The pattern looks as if its covering up the rest of the image, and the pixel font is ginormous, and the outerglow doesnt help it..

I like it, but the pixel font is too big, sorry the outer glow with it makes it look ugly.

The photo is fine - but as the above posters said, you should try experimenting with the text some more. You might want to remove the pattern on the photo too.

Don't worry about their comments on overexposure, everyone's an elitist 'round here.

What you do need to worry about is that font, and the poorly done scan lines. If you'd like help, you can feel free to email me at dreshaj@gmail.com , or IM me on AIM "pixelsandlayers".

sm0ke, bexil - aight
xZaft - do u mean the big image then? What about the banner?
talkvb - well, I'm not a two year old, and I don't think two year olds know what a pixel font is
A long exposure shot is when you take photos at night, and/or as in this case, move the camera at the same time, making the light trail.
blotch - thanks.
dreshaj - yes, that's probably very true , but hopefully it's a good environment to develop your abilities then. Thanks a lot for your willingness to help -- I've made some further banners; perhaps you could have a look at, and comment on them?

These scan lines - they're interesting because the whole experienced web design community is sick of them, but I don't get the feeling that the average joe is.

Furthermore, it's very interesting to see the different reactions shown in this thread, since I personally really liked the graphics ^^, but obviously u didn't... Just shows how personal it is - so:

What about this then? Which one do YOU personally perfer?
