Old  How to convince your site's visitors to create content for you ?

To let your website growing faster, you must convince your site's visitors to create content for you. I found these methods :
1. Install a forum, and make questions on it – people will answer
2. Article submission – allow links in subbmitetted articles, so online marketers will post a lot of articles on your site , but, it can reduces your page rank

Do anybody knows some other methods?

Those are good ways of encouraging people to write for your website. I think the most effective way is giving them compensation for their contribution. That can be cash, gifts or freebies.

Blogs work great
Contests like Ambassador of the Month where clients write testimonials (to win monthly benefits) work well. The focus is on how your solution has helped their business.

I've got a great plugin on one blog called tdo-mini-forms. Automatically lets people post a guest post and once I approve it, the post goes live. I let them have a resource link at the bottom of the post in compensation.

encourage people to comment on a blog is another way. for example addressing questions openly, and always replying to comments.

Still the other way is sharing ad revenue with your contributors. I notice there are many article directories which apply ad revenue sharing system as the way they reward their contributors.

If you have a blog you can get guest writers to write on your blog. Most of the time many fellow bloggers will be glad to help.

I think that forums would work best. The more people get interested in a product, the more likely they are to buy it. And if you just so happen to be selling it, then great!
