  Old  Buying Old Domain Issues?

I'm thinking about buying an already established site that is already making money. So, are there some things I should be concerned about and what should I do to prevent stealing during transfer? Can you point me to a good article on this?

I would research the person that you are buying from. Toss their email addy into a search on Google to see if that yields any responses. Might be posted on other forums and/or profiles of the person that runs it right now.

I'm not sure if Flippa does private sales but you could always look into that. There are fees involved with that though so not sure if the seller would want to lose out on a few bucks but for your sake, I would rather go that route then get screwed over.

I think that Flippa would be the best and most secure way to buy a site. Any direct deals with sellers and I risk not getting the site at all all while loosing money.

Don't forget to check the domain history. Is the current owner the one who registered the domain, or did he also buy the domain from someone else? What kind of website was associated to the domain?

Just watch out as a lot pump traffic and alter some sites to make you believe its profitable. Get technical before you buy. Lots of scams on the net. Taweem.

I know what to watch for. I was just asking what is the most secure way to do the transaction so I don't get robbed. I guess not a lot of people know the answer to this.

Use Escrow.com to do the actual transaction and you'll be better protected. That would be my recommendation if dealing with a stranger and a large amount of money.

That's a big risk, usually people do not sell something which makes money.

Wrong. People sell stuff that brings in a profit all the time.
