first off this should be in the "Gallery Showcase" section, second off, try a different font and don't make it a gradient give it one solid color and perhaps get a logo that looks like a car but has no color to it and take a copy of the Australian flag in front of it for it looks like the car is painted with the colors.

I think the header is too small and as a result the whole webpage is crushed at the top.
Maybe make the banner image slightly bigger, as for the text, you could keep it the same. However with a soft pixel brush, put a white spot behind the text, towards the bottom of the banner. Set this layer to Soft light or overlay would just add something extra to it however it would be subtle.
Another line break after the menu bar would look good.

You can add few nice car icons or something like that with the name and little bit more height for the banner, you can also add gredient bg there and some icons for login and go button.

I agree with everyone else. Make the actual logo bigger and maybe add a car at the beginning or end of the logo...

Give it a Prestigious Look.
Make it Have some Good Cars (Feather Effect in Photoshop), with an Austrailan Map maybe with the Logo as the Domain says Aussie. And Increase its size as everyone else pointed out.

It's plain and boring. As everyone else said, you should make the header bigger. If you make the header look good and have the rest of the content compliment that... you'll have a pretty good site there.

the site is focusing on autos, maybe this is just me but a glaring issue is that I'd like to see large appealing images of cars, not thumbnails. The header needs to be larger, something to grasp my attention.
