Anyways, great work Really like it Clean, and quite simple which is usually the way to go

I'd have to agree, it would also cause more images than needed to have those bold gradients. CSS could easily achieve a nice similar look.

I dont really like it to be honest. its just to boring, simple is nice, dull isn't.

Just looking at it again, i suggest getting rid of the drop shadows, and gradients. Also the text in the content at the top, way too small. And the contact form is tacky. Make the copyright text smaller, and just work on it even more. Alot could be done with it, just looks like a 10minute job to me.
