Old  New Computer That I am Ordering XD

Here are my pieces and I still have ram to go though..Working on that now..

Lets Start with the Black Case.. LINK

Second The MOBO and Processor bundle..LINK

Now Lets Go to the Graphics..LINK

The Hard Drive..LINK

and the CD/DVD Drive..LINK-- Also I chose LG Simply because I love their products.

For the Hard drive and the CD DVD drive I didn't do anything special because I will probably upgrade those later. As for the GFX card I don't game much so I just got a semi decent one. Now I am off to search for RAM.

What do you guys think?

Nick

1) if you skimp a bit on the case, you can get a better card

2) You say you want to get another card and run sli - that board has only one pci-e slot, so you can't do that.

Blue Thanks for your comments let me point this out..

1) I never really game, so that card is good enough

2) I changed the board in the middle of building this and didn't realize that. Thanks for pointing it out!

Maybe I'm missing something, but if you don't game why do you want sli?

Blue I was planning on this set, but I decided I wanted the upgrade. What do you think? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...M-P5NSLI-E6400

EDIT: I don't care for SLI, My friend suggested that I got SLI. I might game more when I get a capable computer..

I saw go on a less expensive case, go with a different motherboard and a E6600 Dual Core processor, and get a better video card. For a little less than $1000 on Newegg, that is what I'm getting (my price is a little higher due to other things I've included). See: http://www.psdtocode.com/computer.bmp

Really the GFX card is fine and will be updated in a month or so. Also the real debate is this

No offfence mate but your decisions aren't too good. A Gigabyte DS3P mobo would be a much better choice to go for a budget mobo, and a EVGA 680i SLi if you want SLi. And for the Graphics a 8600 GT is a junk card even thought its a GeForce 8 Series, a GeForce 6 can nearly out do it. I would go with a 7950 GT or 7900 or so. Andrew has a nice setup so look at his for reference
