It depends on the point of view. The wording on the Apple site does imply that the screens are superior to anything else. If they're not then it's a valid case of false marketing. Law applies to Apple too.

That's pretty petty to be honest ![Stick Out Tongue](images/smilies/tongue.gif)
I suppose they're doing it for the money ![Stick Out Tongue](images/smilies/tongue.gif) And they'll probably lose ![Stick Out Tongue](images/smilies/tongue.gif)

I'm not sure, I played around with an eMac (I think it's eMac, it's for schools), and it's display...sucked. I'm not implying that today's versions aren't any better, but perhaps they got a bad one.

I've seen all of their monitors in person, and in my opinion they are some of the best.

imac?
mac lcds have to be some of the best i've seen. at 75% brightness mine is equal to my old samsung at 100% which was brighter/more vibrant than most monitors.
apple crt monitors seem to suck though. my first year of gollege we were using mac g4's, right when the first line of g5's came out, and no matter what settings i applied the display performance was garbage.
my macbook lcd is amazing though. i can even use it outside in the sun.
