  Old  Image editing softwares?

Hello,

Has anybody used any of those free image editing softwares found on http://www.download.com/Image-Editin...0.html?tag=dir ? I am thinking of downloading Photobie 1.6, or is there any other that you wanna recommend?

Thanks,
Suna

I believe GIMP is only for xwin (linux)

i looked @ it a long time ago it seemed similar to Photoshop but i only opened it to check it out quickly, didnt try and make anything with it.

The GIMP can do pretty much everything photoshop can, but photoshop is deffinatly more user friendly in my opinion. I thought you could get it for windows as well?

I agree with Paul.
I use GIMP, it's a good substitute for PS. It can do almost everything PS can but PS clearly have put more research into their product and as a result it's better than GIMP but GIMP is almost as good. It works for Windows as well but I have it on Linux.

Inkscape is the vector editing program I use.

Gimp is probably the best you're going to find, alot of those products are merely image editing tools and don't allow the functionality of packages like photoshop. I've used photo impression before and it's not that good.

If you're on a budget, check out adobe photoshop elements.
