Computer's Effect on Your Eyes
Just wondering, do you wear glasses or need them? And do you wear them because of the computer or something else.
I've been using the computer almost every day for around an average of like 6 hours a day for the past 3 years. I can see alright but things far away get sorta blurry and I have trouble reading things far away especially in class if I sit at the back.
I used to have a CRT monitor for like the first 2 years, then I got one of those anti-glare screens on it and had it for like 1/2 a year. And since like last year I've been using an LCD monitor. I heard CRT's give off more UV rays or w/e type of rays that damage your eyes more. Is that true? So and LCD would cause less damage to your eyes than a CRT?
Also for those that do use the computer a lot everyday but can still see fine and don't need glasses, how do you keep your vision good? Do you use some special monitor or something or w/e?

the only negative effect my pc has had on my body (besides not working out) is neck strain, i fixed this by adding a few phone books below my main monitor.

My eyes are fine, not as good as they were a couple o' years ago... But fine.
Although, I suffer from really bad fatigue if I sit at a computer for more than 2-3 hours at a time.

I wear glasses but not because of my computer. Other than that, I have the same problem as northpark, and I also have a bruise on my back from sitting on my chair all day (bad chair).

I am 0.14 long-sighted, and my eyes tend to ache after using the computer for long periods of time. Not to mention that I get very tired.

and for those that say ur vision is fine, how much time do u spend on the computer per day on average and for how long have u been doing it
i know ppl who use the comp alot but their vision is fine, but i dunno its maybe cuz of a CRT monitor? i used that for the longest and i heard they give off UV rays or something.
and i dont have any physical problems from being at the computer, like no back or neck pain or anything. but if i sit at it for like over 3 hours straight i get like a small headache or sorta get dizzy/drowsy and sometimes eyes start aching a little.
