Maddox Hates Macs
http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse....gi?u=macs_cant
some excerpts:
Code:
I don't know why Mac users get so defensive when you call them idiots. I mean, Apple is a company that has built its entire user base around the fact that its users can't do simple things like turn their computers on.
Code:
After the recent Apple conference, Mac fans were elated. One person was quoted as saying "I've had a Macintosh now for a total of 35 days, and I'm really excited to be part of the Mac community." Part of the Mac community? It's a computer, not a social movement, *******!
I suggest that you all read the article.

Haha, that's pretty funny. I know somebody just like this, he moves his hands when talking about Macs, uses exact lines from the website to talk about Macs and everything!

I'm not overly keen on Maddox. But this article is pretty good.

When I first that I was in hysterics for like 20 minutes at:
Ever notice how most Mac users are skinny? It's because of all the calories they burn because they can't shut the **** up about how great their Macs are.

They're not. It's a marketing scheme, but so few people seem to be able to grasp that. What you do if you have a product but were up against a huge, established company, is focus in on a niché. Once you have a cult following, the long-term marketing plan will have outlined the possible occurrence of individuals blindly preaching how good Macs are, and thus sucking in a wider audience without any direct advertising.
It's very clever, but a very old method of marketing. It has always worked though, and it will always work for as long as people do not understand how products are not marketed for our needs any longer, but rather to our desires -- with the form in effect, many millionaires and billionaires would still be claiming Government benefits.
