how do I keep

blog.mydomain.com from changing into mydomain.com/blog when I click on it?

Some blog software's make this the main path of your blog automatically (yourdomain.com/blog). Did you install your blog in the blog.yourdomain.com directory, rather than the public_html directory?

it's in the public_html directory. i didn't know there was a blog.yourdomain.com...
