WordPress Problem - Randomly Switching To Standard Theme

I have a problem with my blog. Every so often, my theme randomly changes to the default theme. This started to happen after installing the new theme which I'm trying to use.

I have no idea why this is happening, but would very much appreciate it if anyone can offer a solution.

Used to happen to me, just change it back in the wp theme manager!

Yes I have done, but it keeps switching back!

delete the default theme directly through your FTP?

When I had this problem I discovered it was a problem with my MySQL DB not properly updating, so I had to move the WP to another DB. Don't know if it's the same reason yours is messing up however.
