i think the only practical use is the admin panel situation, but even that can be completely avoided altogether. usually they'r eonly needed in *this* instance of the navigation for said admin is something ridiculous.

more than anything, they're a nuisance and seemed to be a quick fix for people who wanted navigation on the left or top, but didn't have a very good understanding of tables.

i haven't seen a good nice looking site use frames in about 6 years.

once css takes over, tables will be looked at the way frames are. :grin:
