ServWise.com is on a distinguished road

  Old

Ideally I would offer both.

Many people actually prefer to pay using PayPal so don't limit to one or the other, on the other hand few people don't trust PayPal and would rather enter there CC details each time (Silly) so offer a traditional payment gateway service like authorise.net or worldpay etc.

Incidentally if your are UK or US based then PayPal has PayPal pro which offers the features of a proper payment gateway (transaction is done on your site) but you can also take PayPal payments too.

As for SSL although technically it is not necessary if you are using PayPal Std to take payments to have an good SSL certificate on your own site, it is however good practise to have SSL anywhere that personal / confidential information like addresses, phone numbers, DOB etc are being viewed or submitted to be behind a secure (SSL) connection and your customers will consider your site more professional if they see you are looking after their privacy.

Check out our cheap SSL prices for a really good deal.
