Name of the contest: Glupper.com Logo & Design
Deadline: 01/31/2007
Prize & Delivery method: $160 via PayPal

Contest brief: I'm in need of a logo and website design for a project I'm starting called Glupper. The website will be a resource/tutorial website for programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Windows, and perhaps others aswell. This isn't going to be just a tutorial website like Pixel2Life or Good-Tutorials, but more of a website like Spoono where we have news, featured art and websites, links to friend site (such as the support section on Spoono), and a Poll. Other sections you need to include are Latest Tutorials and Downloads and a Featured Contest area. The design needs to be a fixed width at about 800px with a nice background. As for the logo, I'm pretty open about it. I do need text that says "Glupper" but that shouldn't be the logo. You can make a cool symbol/icon for branding. Just be creative with it.

Colours: My favorite color is blue, but if used correctly I'm open to pretty much any other colors. I like the Web 2.0 glossy style stuff, but sometimes it's overused so be careful if you go with that style.

Inspirations: Some design I like are:

- http://www.dizzain.com/ for its uniqueness
- The colors of the illustration on http://snagt.net/

Now not all of those are needed of course, but you'll have a better chance of winning if you can incorporate a little taste of each.

Other information: I only need the .psd and fonts for the design. For the logo, I don't need a vector but it would be nice. I'm not looking for any ordinary tutorial website design. It needs to be very stylish and unique but maintain a simple and professional feel to it. Just be creative and have fun with it.
