1) Why do I need AJAX? vB2 was at the top of the game and it didn't have any real s****y features. I loved vB2 to death. vB3 just feels awfully cluttered, and the reputation thing set to a default setting is the worst thing I've ever seen. I know you can turn it off, but many forums leave it on, and 100% of these forums have members that abuse it.

3) Some large forums also use other scripts like phpBB and swear by them. Take Gaia Online for example. Probably the largest forum I've ever seen with a creator that is very deep rooted with phpBB.
