I here assume your site is anyway attached with our favorite Yahoo, Google, MSN. 99% chance of running Google Ad-Sense in your site is there. Perhaps your site has Google page rank 5 or above. And to gain target audience you are seriously dependent on Google or Yahoo or MSN.

Forget everything. Today we are here, tomorrow we may die. We can’t stop the flow of air. But what is possible, we should do that with no further delay. So make your own identity on net. Don’t be so much dependent on Google or Yahoo or MSN for the web promotion of your site.

Don’t make links with a casino site, personal portfolio site – which are of OFF-BIT. I am saying this because this time I assume that you run a webmaster resource site. So in other cases, the comparisons which I am listing here, will be changed.

Other ways to get visitors to your site is to go for a serious & by heart contribution in Developer’s Forum as our Freelancer’s Talk. You will find out a lot of good quality links with whom you can exchange your link & if you are an expert & other members can realize that through your output in the forum then they will become interested towards you. I am sure.

As per my experience I have seen that if you run a TOPLIST in your site, you get more visitors. And the chance of own identity increase.

If you need visitor’s attention towards your site then you can start any good purpose alternative site such as site of freewares & free softwares with a big server. Collect these softwares surfing the net, upload to your server, make your own website from where people can download such files. If you have made proper keywords & site description then these site will be listed by all major search engines (before they die). Again tell others about it. Your site user & anonymous surfers which you get daily any way, will do this charitable marketing job willingly. So this site will become popular. Now put a banner of your company site in some noticeable place. You will get good number of visitors to your paid or unpaid service also.

Voila! Have more hits, popularity & own identity on www. Now if Google dies, if Yahoo dies, MSN dies you will have a little effect in your cyber life. Everybody knows the phrase – ‘Survival Of The Fittest’. Be fit and survive.
