Take a look at the C2D E6320 or E6420 chips. Same specs as the more expensive chips, just a lower clock speed. So you save a good bit of money, and you can always overclock them a bit and it'll be just like the more expensive chips. However depending on how you do it or how far you go with the overclocking, you run the risk of losing stability.
