I am gonna be a bit different here. To be honest, if you are new to design and all and learning... this is not the place to ask. This is throat cutting community and people will (including me) scare you away with their comments and then will say 'we were being honest'. There are only few who will honestly help you or give a constructive criticism.
For starters, Select a color palate to work with. You are using greens and saffrons in your site which hardly match. And that red and pink-white gradient in logo is too hard on eyes... Make it soft with maroon and turn the gradient to pink-very light pink.
And re-do the header. Go to some good sites like psdtuts.com where you get awesome tutorials and inspiration to work with.
A design is what inspires you to take action. Makes it easy, you see.
So design to express, not to sell.
