Not sure what he used on the first one, I know you can do 3d abstacts in 3D Studio Max and Cinema 4d, but I never got into 3d abstacts so I don't know the depth of it in either program. He probally did the brushings in Photoshop though.

The 2nd one was Cinema 4d and he could have used reference images for the textures or easily created his own with something like Photoshop.
