I think they both have their place for business, and this is coming from someone who isn't using her Twitter account as much as she'd like . I just haven't taken the time yet to figure out the engagement aspect of Twitter, yet I hear of many people getting great interaction and traffic from their Twitter efforts.

Both provide an opportunity to show what you've got to offer and create some personality to your profile - another branding platform. Also being able to interact with other people regarding your business in a casual online atmosphere is a great asset, especially when you're working solo.

To sum it up {and note to self}: Facebook and Twitter should both be used as part of a marketing plan to reach different types of potential customers and to create business relationships.
