Hey, i know im new and maybe havent the right to discuss this topic, but just to give my opinion:

In the last communitys were i was active, signatures were always an important area to make some costumization and give character to your account.

I know their are many arguments (like already mentioned in this thread) against them, but i think a community without image-signatures (obviously with some restrictions like just 500x60 px or something like that) looks boring.. especialy in a web- and graphicdesign community it should be allowed to bring back some creativity to your account and the whole forum.

For them who dont want to see them because they want to concentrate on the text we can implement a setting like "dont show signatures".

I loved to take part in signatur contest. Even more if there were restrictions because sometimes restrictios can create more creativty..
