It's a "canon users" online forum. Thousands of members around the world of ALL levels and VERY helpful. Take a look in the camera threads and ask all the questions you want.

I use a Canon 30D DSLR. If you're budget is in the $100-200 range then P&S (point and shoot) is the only thing you'll be able to afford. If you're interested in any kind of pro/semi-pro photography work, you'll want to consider saving up for an SLR kit, IMO.
